When it comes to dreaming big, kids’ imaginations are limitless, but with a little motivation, inspiration and hard work, there’s no telling what they can accomplish. At 9-years-old, Addyson is not only chasing her dream, but she’s also making an incredible impact on another continent. In just two years, she’s raised nearly $60,000 by running 2 half-marathons!
"In 2016, my mom ran the Kansas City half-marathon, and we went to the team dinner," says Addison, "My lifetime goal is to see every kid have clean water in their lifetime!"
Michael Chitwood, is the founder of "Team World Vision", and he was there with his sponsor child, Maurine. Maurine lives in Kenya, Africa, where kids don’t have access to clean water. He talked about how people help Maurine through fundraising and running. So, Steve Harvey wanted to help the rest of the kids.
Universal Studios Hollywood heard that Addyson and Maurine were coming into town and they wanted to do something special. They’re sending both Addyson & Maurine and their families to Universal Studios Hollywood theme park!
But that's not all... Steve Harvey also reached out to his friends at Delta Air Lines who also loves what Addyson is doing to make clean water available to everyone. They really wanted to connect you to the people you’ve impacted, so they’re sending her and her parents to visit Maurine in Kenya!
