I’m sure a lot of you have been noticing The Salvation Army Red Kettles popping up in your neighborhood in the last few weeks.
That holiday tradition is over 100 years old, but that’s not the only time The Salvation Army is “doing the most good.” They assist about 25 million Americans a year while building local programs that fit the needs of each community. And that’s exactly what they’re doing for the folks of Northern California.
Millions of people rely on their programs throughout the year, and the unique feature to their fundraising is that the money you donate stays in the community – so a donation to a kettle in Los Angeles will stay right here.
It’s also been great to learn about all of the unique ways The Salvation Army helps, from after-school care, job training, case management, and rehabilitation programs. When you donate to The Salvation Army, you are truly giving people a second chance.
